چکیده
The objective was to assess if US dairy nutritionists’ approaches toward balancing CP in lactating cow diets are influenced by demographic information, feelings environmental nitrogen (N) excretion, and dietary cost. An electronic survey sent 886 certified nutritionists through the database of American Registry Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) via email. For data analysis, a nonparametric statistic used check whether responses each question were independent. Relationships among other questions performed using Spearman’s correlation. Poisson regression least squares means identify statistically meaningful differences between response counts within respective question. A total 77 representing 1,065 herds from 28 states with 521,000 cows responded questionnaire. Eighty-nine percent balanced based on one or more individual AA requirements cows. Most respondents (72%) reported that they currently formulating lower than 3 5 yr ago. primary concern cost per unit MP, likely due high fluctuating high-RUP feedstuffs. Currently, impetus reduce is primarily financially, rather environmentally, driven. Nutrition models accurately predict will allow develop even presently possible. Monitoring income over feed low-CP supplemented critical support sustainability industry.

Yeast in Dairy Cattle Diets
Yeast is a unicellular fungi that does not reproduce via asexual spore production (Phaff, 1966). The most commonly fed yeast in dairy diets is Saccharomyces cerevisiae (SC); a facultative anaerobic yeast often referred to as brewers or bakers yeast. The most common yeast products fed to ruminants are live cells or yeast culture mixtures. A yeast culture is a yeast-fermented product that contain...

Evaluation of factors associated with increased dairy cow mortality on United States dairy operations.
Dairy cow mortality is an increasingly severe problem for the US dairy industry. The objective of this study was to examine a variety of herd management practices and herd characteristics to identify factors associated with increased cow mortality in US dairy herds. The National Animal Health Monitoring System's Dairy 2002 study surveyed dairy operations in 21 major dairy states. The complete d...
متن کاملMonensin: an Overview of Its Application in Lactating Dairy Cow Diets
The efficiency of feedstuff utilization by ruminal microorganisms and the cow’s genetic ability to convert feed nutrients into milk and milk components are major factors that influence the profitability of a dairy herd. Monensin’s ability to modify the movement of ions across biological membranes leads to alterations in bacterial populations and subsequent changes in the proportion of volatile ...

This study investigated the effect of Rumex Sc (commercial product which includes of Saccharomyces cervisiae, saponin and essential oils) on rumen fermentation, blood glucose, urea, milk yield and milk composition. Animals were offered a basal diet containing alfalfa hay (15.5%), corn silage (24%), beet pulp (7%) and concentrate (53.5%). Additionally, Rumex Sc was included in the experimental d...
